Focus topic: Simulation of hydraulic losses of a single-speed transmission using Particleworks
Webinar description:
The Moving Particle Simulation is an efficient meshless CFD method to simulate sloshing, free-surface flows and liquid jets. The particle-based lagrangian approach does not require a computational grid. This allows to streamline and speed-up the overall simulation process0 for applications with complex geometries and moving parts which is an advantage for developing spray-cooling of E-Drives and optimizing the lubrication of gearboxes.
In this webinar EnginSoft welcomes Tobias Moll, research assistant from the Institute for combustion engines at RWTH Aachen University. He will provide us with industry insights about the role of simulation for efficiency, lubrication and heat management for transmissions with Integrated electrical machines. The hydraulic losses of a single-speed transmission were simulated using Particleworks and validated against experiments.
